It’s not every day you read about a giant, established corporation being acquired by a young, tech company. Especially not in the title and escrow world. But that was just the type of radical thinking that drew Judd Hoffman to States Title. As an entrepreneur, Judd’s very comfortable pushing the envelope and looking for ways to do things better in order to deliver more value to a company and its customers. He couldn’t sit still knowing there were many untapped opportunities to advance this industry and improve the title experience.
Judd Hoffman was with First American Title for almost nine years, most recently as the President of the Direct Division. As an almost 130 year old company, they are an institution with great history and culture where he learned a great deal. But, Judd is a change agent and he found himself seeking out ways to innovate in an industry that was rich in tradition but challenged in the initiation of change. As he was talking to peers in the industry, he was introduced to States Title. After conversations with Max Simkoff, CEO of States Title, it was clear that States Title shared Judd’s passion for dramatically transforming the industry.
Judd sees an incredible opportunity to create the title company of the future now that he is part of the growing and talented States Title team. By applying the most cutting-edge, user-friendly technology and infusing it with the best service in the industry, this newly combined company will provide customers with the ultimate title experience in the business. Simply put,
We embrace and continually enhance the best of today’s technology to improve the title company of yesterday.
With that said, it’s fitting Judd’s new title is Chief Transformation Officer.
